Why Journalism?

Hang on for a minute...we're trying to find some more stories you might like.

The longer I have had journalism, I have appreciated it and love it so much more. I was very hesitant about taking this class at first. But I am sure glad I took this class, I have learned so much in this semester about so much. From writing articles to conducting different types of interviews, there is so much to learn. Learning more about journalism can open your eyes more and make me be able to see more clearly when it comes to bias or even fake news. You will also learn about many current events in society more, and understand a publishers motive for writing or presenting a story the way they do. You will learn to be more in-depth when either asking questions or writing a description or a story. Many of the concepts and techniques you learn in this class can have many uses in the outside world. The most fun thing that you learn in my opinion, is how to put together articles for the JFK newspaper. Even if you aren’t considering journalism as a career choice, you can learn so much by partaking in this class.
