Reilly McGowan is a sophomore at John F. Kennedy High School, and is a contributor to The Torch. She is a part of the Women’s and Show Choir, and acts in the school play. This year, Reilly is even the treasurer for all of the choirs. Reilly is also a 2-year member of the Academic Team, where she excels in English and Pop Culture. Outside of school, Reilly spends her free time reading or watching sit-coms on Netflix. Her favorite books are “Fangirl” by Rainbow Rowell, “Every Last Word” by Tamara Ireland Stone, and “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli. This is her first year in journalism, a class she took not only because she enjoys having Ms. Prusicki as a teacher, but also due to the fact she takes great pleasure in writing. Overall, Reilly can’t wait for everyone to read what she is going to publish!
