The Torch

Manny Diaz is a 17-year-old senior at JFK Memorial High School and a first-year contributor to The Torch. Manny is an athlete who has not only done spring track for 9 years, but joined the football team for the first time this year. He did cross country for the last three years but decided that distance just was not for him. Besides sports, Manny is involved in National Honors Society and the Society to Prevent Teen Suicide. Some fun facts about Manny are that he dreams of one day owning a 2019 Camaro, and that he does not enjoy K-Pop music. He is in journalism because the teacher, Ms. Prusicki, is his favorite teacher in the world. Overall, Manny is excited to utilize his photography skills and upload portraits to The Torch.
