You are playing softball at Middlesex, are you excited?
Sena: It’s like half and half, I’m super excited but I’m super nervous and scared ’cause I don’t know anybody on the team and it’s just new. I know college is a different level, so yeah.
What do you plan on majoring in college?
I plan on majoring in marketing, [but] I’m 100% gonna change it [to another major]. I’m going the business route because I am already an entrepreneur, so I wanted to explore that more and be a business owner, I feel like that’s where I’ll succeed.
Are you going to miss high school softball? The people or the sport?
I am, for sure. Both ’cause I’m gonna play in college, so even if I didn’t miss high school softball, it wasn’t like it was gonna take my desire to play the sport, but I am gonna miss the friendships and my coaches so much.
What was your favorite year of high school?
This year for sure, it was so much fun, it’s my happiest year too because I’m leaving. It’s just the thought of you having to grow up and get more independent in college. It’s exciting that you are leaving, graduating, and you accomplished all these years of school, to go to more school, but it’s more freedom now so I’m happy.
How did covid affect high school for you?
Freshmen year I was great, a straight-A student. I came out of middle school so focused, but then covid comes and destroyed my whole track. It made me not focused on not doing my work and that created my habit for my other years. That was just my breaking point.
What will you miss the most about JFK?
I’m pretty sure JFK is gonna miss me. I don’t think I’m gonna miss anything about it, maybe the students. The memories I made, teachers, students, and my classes, covid when I failed all my classes. Yeah, I’m gonna miss the people.
Who was the most significant person throughout your high school years? Why?
My mom. Throughout my high school years, I met people and kinda stopped being friends with those people; they just kinda came and went. Not all of them, just some of them. And my mom had just always been there to support me and just help me to keep going. She’s always been my support.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
