Abdullah Khokhar has enjoyed his time at JFK and loved his teachers and classes. He plans on majoring in finance & accounting at Rutgers this fall. Khokhar starts with wise words for the upcoming class.
“Take advantage of what JFK has to offer,” Khokhar states. “Get involved in sports and after-school activities.”
Although COVID took over his freshman year of high school, and school online was a major change, he prevailed. Some of Khokhar’s favorite classes were financial literacy and economics.
“They’ll teach you about things like how to buy a house and make a bank account,” Khokhar states. “A lot of classes don’t teach you that, and those are essential things you need to know.”
Khokhar is proud of the volunteering he has done. He has spent time helping with Woodbridge’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the Senior Olympics, working the ACS walk as well as cleaning up parks around town. Khokhar plans on continuing to give back to the community after high school.
At Kennedy, Khokhar is known to have a wonderful, electric personality. He likes to learn about people and even started asking me questions during our interview about him.
Although he’s leaving, his legacy will stay with his brother, Faris who will be coming up from middle school in two years. His advice to Faris? Get involved in what the school has to offer.
Khokhar wishes the Mustangs the best as he takes on his endeavors at Rutgers.
