Mr. JFK contents
On March 20 in the JFK Auditorium, nine deserving JFK students compete fiercely in the much-anticipated annual Mr. JFK competition. They put on an exciting display of skill and school pride, working hard to entertain the crowd and compete amongst their classmates and peers.
Each of the nine contestants gave their performances a great deal of consideration and hard work. The competitors had to overcome nervousness to confidently present their special talents and effectively display themselves to the students at JFK, as well as the three judges.
The first runner up for Mr. JFK is Aarush Kanduri, with the second runner up being Nick Hein. The other six candidates, Brenden Denti, Jayden France, Zain Khalil, Manny Perez-Quijano and Bhavik Shah did an amazing job amusing the crowd.
The annual Mr. JFK show has four categories: best dressed, JFK trivia, talent Showcase and open-ended questions.
The panel of judges, Ms. Panaro, Mr. Henderson and Mr. Slaughter, evaluate the candidates’ performances. Mr. Seavy, the night’s statistician, also participated.
All about Isaiah
Isaiah was pleasantly surprised at his nomination and win.
“It means a lot to me because I am someone who is normally very shy and quiet and I never even thought of being in the competition in the first place, so not only be able to be a part of it, but also win was really cool too,” Isaiah stated.
Isaiah’s favorite part was, “Being able to bond with the other eight competitors and being able to develop some really great friendships over time.”
To say Isaiah’s talent was a success is an understatement; he painted his friend Sofia Foster using glue on a black canvas, and at first, the audience was confused. When he finished painting, they threw glitter on the glue to reveal a stunning portrait of Sofia that looked exactly like her.
The crowd gasped, clapped, and cheered when the image was revealed.
Mr. JFK success
Mr. JFK is a major fundraiser for the Senior Prom. The senior class raises money through admission tickets, concessions, and raffles in hopes of lowering the prom bid for the seniors.
All things considered, Mr. JFK 2025 was a huge success. It is evident that everyone who was involved in Mr. JFK put a lot of effort into the show. It was both entertaining to the audience and truly demonstrated what it means to be a Mustang.
Congratulations on a fantastic performance, Mustangs!
