Interview with Head Coach Gallagher
How do you feel about the division change?
Coach Gallagher: It is a very positive thing…. It puts us in a better place to work toward winning the game as opposed to working toward not being run-ruled. We have more of an opportunity to be in a positive place towards winning the game.
Do you think we will have a successful season like last year?
We have a ways to go, but I do think when we get people back from injury and we kind of get people situated back in their places and then committed to the whole team moving forward… yes, I do.
Interview with senior Captain Lorelei Lorentzen
What is it like to be a captain?
Lorelei: I think being captain is a way to show leadership skills, and it shows that I’ve worked hard over the last couple of years, and people look up to me now.
Do you think that being captain with the responsibilities will prepare you for college?
Yeah, I think captain is not just for the sports world. It taught me how to be more vocal on and off the field. I’ve definitely learned a lot about being captain.
How do you feel about the opening week?
We had a very solid opening week. Over the last couple of years it has not been as successful as I would have liked. We started off our opening week undefeated which I never thought would happen.
