Next fall, she will be going to the University of Scranton and majoring in Kinesiology. She hopes to become a physical therapist soon. She will also be part of the competition cheer team. I spoke with Aryanna and talked about her high school experiences.
What are your proudest accomplishments throughout all four years?
Aryanna: Throughout my four years of being here, would be a four-time state champion with my competition cheer team.
What is your favorite extracurricular activity and why?
I have two, and it would be cheer and softball ’cause the team becomes a second family.
Who was your favorite teacher at JFK?
I have multiple, but I feel like with the staff here, I can just go to them for anything. Mrs. Thomas, I had her in fifth grade. Mr. Davis was one of my favorite teachers, even though I never had him. Mr.Trenery was also one of those teachers, he’s just gonna be real with you.
What would you like to say to the upcoming seniors?
Senioritis is a real thing A lot of teachers are gonna give you time to do the work, but get it done within the first two days so you’re not procrastinating it and letting it pile up, and then you have a lot of missing work. And don’t fail your major, important classes.
Any embarrassing or awkward moments you would like to share?
I tore my ACL in my sophomore year in gym volleyball, and as I was landing from scoring the last point, my ACL tore, and I was out for my whole sophomore year for softball.
