Suhani Patel is a senior at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School and is extremely involved in the school. She was a member of the cheerleading team and Dance Exchange for four years, took multiple advanced placement classes and still maintained a positive spirit everywhere she went.
If you see Suhani in the hallways, outside of school, or anywhere she is, you will always see a smile on her face, and Suhani is one of the most caring and kindhearted people you will ever meet.
Are you excited to graduate, and what was your favorite part about JFK?
Yes, because I am ready to start a new chapter in my life, even though I’ll miss high school a lot. My favorite part about JFK was the cafeteria fries we had sophomore year.
Who was your favorite teacher, and what was your favorite class?
Mr. Farrell was my favorite teacher because we always used to have such good conversations while in his class and in the hallways. Parenting Education was my favorite class because we always did other fun activities to keep the classroom light.
COVID hindered your learning experiences previously. How did you overcome that and become a successful student?
I overcame this because while I was trying to balance my school life and personal life, I got involved in clubs, sports, and I hung out with my friends to help me get through all the hardships I went through in high school.
You were a part of the cheer team. Is that something you love to do?
Yes, because I met a lot of new people and made a lot of great new friendships, and I also enjoyed doing cheerleading.
What did Dance Exchange mean to you?
Dance exchange meant a lot to me. I was able to do the dances that I wanted to do with the people that I enjoyed dancing with, and it really allowed us to dance how we wanted to dance, since we were the choreographers.
Graduation is in less than a month. What are you looking forward to the most as this last month of high school comes?
I’m looking forward to all the senior events, like prom, senior social, non-affiliated school events, and all those things, because I’m excited to do fun things with my friends now that the school year is over.
What’re you looking forward to the most in college at TCNJ?
I’m most looking forward to student-teaching, the school cafeteria food, and meeting some new people.
