Jeffrey Guallpa is a graduating senior at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. He has participated in the Mustangs’ Football Team and was a well-known force on the field throughout his 4 years of high school. After this year, he will join the police academy to continue his family’s legacy of officers.
What is your favorite high school year and why?
Jeffrey: My sophomore year, because that’s when I did the best in school and had the best grades.
What is your favorite memory of this school?
My freshman year, when I joined the football team, that summer the coach gave me an opportunity to join.”
What is your favorite accomplishment?
Getting my driver’s license.
What are you going to do after high school?
I plan on joining the police academy.
Why do you plan on doing that?
Because my family’s background is all about being cops, you know, it’s a family thing. They pay well, it’s a good job, I want to protect the community.
You work at your dad’s restaurant. What is the most challenging thing you have had to do?
I started working when I was 8, so I had to learn a lot of things at a very young age.
What do you most regret?
Hanging out with the wrong people, and doing things I regret doing.
Did you play any sports or join any clubs?
Yes, I played football my freshman year through my senior year.
Have you been anywhere outside the state?
Yes, I’ve been almost everywhere on the east coast of the US except Maine.
What advice would you give the underclassmen?
Be nice to everybody. Don’t hang out with the wrong people, and just do your own thing.
