
Steven Pimentel is a graduating senior at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. Once he graduates, Steven plans to attend Middlesex College to major in business and hopes to become an entrepreneur afterwards. His involvement in high school includes three years of Boys’ Basketball and one year of Spring Track.
What is your favorite memory as a child, and why?
Steven: Probably my sixth birthday because my whole family came over, my friends came over, and the party lasted the whole day. It was great.
Why did you start playing basketball?
I started playing basketball when I was eight and I wanted to play with my friends, but they told me I wasn’t good enough. So, I just trained alone and got better than them.
What do you like most about JFK?
I love the community, the teachers, and overall the whole school in general.
Why did you start doing track in your senior year?
I got cut from basketball my senior year and people recommended me to join track because I’m athletic.
Do you want to go to college?
Yes, I want to go to Middlesex College and then transfer to Rutgers for business.
What is your dream and why?
I want to start my own business and get money my own way because I don’t want to work for people.
What is one place you want to visit and why?
I want to visit DR [Dominican Republic] again because it’s my country and I love it there.
What car do you want in the future?
I want to own a Cadillac Black Wing.
What was your favorite class in JFK?
Probably a history class because I love history and learning about the past.
What is your favorite movie?
Probably “Scary Movie” the sequel. It’s a mix of horror movies and comedy. It’s funny, they make it funny, bro.
