Ashlee Castillo
Ashlee Castillo is a sophomore at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School where she is a contributing member of The Torch. This spring semester is Ashlee’s first year taking journalism. She decided to take journalism to be more involved and because she loves a good conversation. Ashlee enjoys learning about science and math and enjoys spending time with friends and family. Being raised in a Mexican household, Ashlee grew up speaking two languages (Spanish and English) and hopes to write about Latino events and make The Torch accessible to students who don’t speak English. She hopes to visit Mexico to reconnect with family and live life with people from her culture. In the future, she hopes to have a career somewhere in the STEM field. Ashlee is a passionate and driven person that is eager to be heard by people.
