On Nov. 23, 2022, “Wednesday” debuted on Netflix, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams. The show has claimed its top spot on the streaming platform for two weeks now, making it one of the most streamed series of all time.

The comedy-horror series is about a suspicious human-slaughtering monster whom Wednesday is trying to uncover the truth about.

Addams had to switch schools due to an incident and had to attend Nevermore Academy, a school full of “outcasts” who have special abilities. At Nevermore, both romance and mystery struck Addams as she was trying to investigate what’s been happening with the monster and also ended up finding out the secrets her parents have been hiding from 25 years ago.

Season one had a complete ending, but there are still some secrets locked away, waiting to be set free. On Jan. 6, 2023, Netflix has confirmed S2 of the hit series saying that there’s “more torture to come”.

On Ortega’s Instagram, she told fans how she learned the cello in a year for the show. Additionally, she learned a little bit of German and had to choreograph a dance that would replicate Addams’ eerie aura.

The Torch rates “Wednesday” a solid 10/10. The show is full of twists and turns that keeps the audience anticipating more. Many fans were hooked simply because of Ortega’s extraordinary acting. If you’re a fan of dark humor and mystery, this show is a must-watch!
