On March 14, 2025, citizens unhappy with recent governmental changes will participate in a national strike.
Participants want to rally nationwide in protest of Project 2025 and the projected job cuts of 83,000 employees in the Department of Veterans Affairs. Also, many Americans are planning to strike in order to bring attention to recent changes in legislation, mass firings of government workers and federal funding cuts.
People encouraged to participate in the strike are anyone in the workforce who feels upset by recent governmental changes.
Nowmarch.org states, “If you don’t want to lose your rights, your safety, your freedom, and your country this movement is for you.”
If possible, people are encouraged to protest outside of government buildings in Washington, D.C. at noon.
Protest organizers stress that the “Fourteenth Now! is a peaceful movement. Violence of any kind is not tolerated.”

I’d really appreciate it if you could share any available statistics about this day’s events–how many people stayed off work, where were there protests outside of governement buildings? It’s important to publicize the results. We do a weekly picket in El Sobrante CA at San Pablo Dam Road and Appian Way and we really noticed that the commuter traffic was a lot less. Could that be because people were staying home from work???
