Maira Rizwan
Maira Rizwan is a sophomore at JFK Memorial High School where she currently is a first-year contributor to The Torch. Maira’s intention to join journalism was to improve her writing skills. She wants to learn how to structure pieces of writing as well as to better her vocabulary in her writing. Maira has always enjoyed finding out various news so she wanted to see if reporting it was also fun. She participates in a few clubs including Film Club, Key Club, MSA and Badminton Club. She hopes to join more clubs to better her understanding of what she seeks in life. Maira knows Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, and English. In her free time, she likes to watch TV shows with her family and friends.
