Rachel Velasco is in her senior year at JFK Memorial High School. This will be her first year taking journalism as a contributor. Outside of school, Rachel likes to digitally draw and paint. In her free time she enjoys watching “The Walking Dead” and “Schitt’s Creek”. Two movies she enjoys a lot are “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” and “Knives Out”. In addition, she is also enthusiastic about the Harry Potter films. Rachel hopes to learn more about journalism which is why she chose the class in the first place. Her future career goal is to work as a screenwriter or just work in the film industry in general.
