Keya Patel
Keya Patel is currently a sophomore at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School. Being part of the class of 2025, she dreams of attending NJIT. As of right now, it is her first year in Journalism but she doesn’t let that restrain her from being an active contributor to JFK’s school newspaper, The Torch. She chose to take journalism as a course because it was recommended to her by her sister and she hopes to enhance her writing skills. Additionally, she would love to discover a new writing style rather than the standard English courses. Keya is also part of WEvolve where she helps to end the mental health stigma. She is also a member of stage crew/set construction where she helps make the school plays entertaining for JFK students and staff. When she is not participating in school activities, she enjoys playing volleyball, cooking new recipes, and hanging out with her pets.
