The Torch

David Macaulay-Smith is a 17-year-old junior at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School and a first-year contributor to The Torch. He was born on Jan 26, 2003, to African-American parents. He has enjoyed both writing and history for most of his life and sees journalism as a way to express these enjoyments. While his short term goals include graduating high school and college, his long term goals include majoring in journalism. He views President Barack Obama as a role model and enjoys sports, particularly soccer. His favorite artist is Roddy Ricch and his favorite hobbies are to play video games and read books. He loves his family and his desire for the future is to leave his impact on the world. He will graduate high school in 2021.
