Shruti Raghuram
Shruti Raghuram is a 17-year-old senior at John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, where she is a contributor for The Torch. She enjoys playing her guitar, reading, biking, going out with friends, and sketching. In school, she is a member of a number of clubs, including the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Student Council, FBLA, American Cancer Society, Model UN and more. Outside of school, she works at Olive Garden as a hostess. Shruti plans to attend college this fall to study psychology, with the hopes of becoming a clinical psychologist or a psychiatrist. It is her first year in journalism, and she seeks to use her voice to speak on fun events, such as dances and field trips, while getting more students involved in contributing their perspectives to The Torch.
