Zaima Mazumder
This is Zaima’s first year in journalism as a contributor to JFK’s paper, The Torch. She is a junior at JFK and chose to take this class because her sister advised her that it was a great opportunity to venture into a potential career in journalism. Through this class, Zaima hopes to become a better writer and be more involved in school activities. Outside of school, she enjoys watching Netflix (shows, movies, documentaries, etc.), listening to music and true crime podcasts, shopping, and baking. She has joined Student Council and Key Club every year at JFK and hopes to volunteer more and join new clubs. She wants to take advantage of the rest of her time here and make lasting connections. Zaima is striving to become an architect or dermatologist, but her future is still unknown… she might just become a journalist instead.
